Stop preventing me opening an htm file on MY computer that I created

I have a large htm file which I created on the windows virtual machine I run inside my iMac. I've switched to FireFox from Safari, but FF is driving me crazy by refusing to redirect to my own file! Yes, I can click on allow, but I find this massively annoying. There must be a way to let FF know that this is a safe redirect! No amount of googling or searching on FF has provided this answer.
