Downloaded TB 31.5 and installed. Keep getting "Unresponsive script" messages then TB crashes over and over. Submitting all crash reports.

This seems to be related to your graphics adapter. Make sure you do have the latest driver. If updating the driver doesn't help make sure hardware acceleration is disabled.

Open the config editor. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/config-editor Set 'gfx.direct2d.disabled' to 'true'. Set 'layers.acceleration.disabled' to 'true'.

DrStrange can you install 38.0b1 from beta link at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ to see if problem is gone?

Note: - Only two of the crash reports shows clear evidence of graphics driver problems. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/6a927a3a-b9b5-41c0-9a01-d1f392150307 [@ Interpret ] for example does not. - the reporter's also reports slowness in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1027002 - "Ever since I installed the latest update, TB freezes and uses 100% of my CPU."
