When I run Thunderbird release 138.0.2 64-bit, the Inbox is empty, even when I click the "tree" icon to fetch new e-mails. Instead, a side-popping message box displays "Connection to server pop.orange.fr was reset". Please advise. The Orange messaging service works properly, so why shouldn't Thunderbird?

Filtering has always worked fine for me until recently. However, over the last few months I've noticed that any new filters I've setup don't work. Existing filters continue to work fine.
I've checked to see if there's an update but apparently I'm running the latest version: 128.11.1esr (32-bit)
Any ideas?

I'm investigating moving to Tbird.....but I have some questions.... 1. The importation of PST file seems rather complicated....is there an easy way to do this...??? 2. In Outlook I use the email....calendar....and notes.....I have a lot of notes as this is how I keep track of what I do for my clients......If somehow I import my PST file into Tbird....does all the email...calendar and notes come with it or just emails...??? 3. I POP Gmail into Outlook....but Gmail requires an App Password......can Tbird handle this..??? 4. My current PST file is about 3gb in size....Can Tbird handle this large amount of data..???

Tbird starts to d/l messages: "nn of mm new messages" counts up and just before it gets to the last few, it stops. It doesn't put the retrieved messages in the inbox or anything. Then it gives this error message:
"The DELE command did not succeed. Error marking a message as deleted. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: Too many requests."
But this is POP mail, so delete request don't go back to the mail server. The number of emails deleted from the local db shouldn't have any effect on d/l... I'm mightily confused.
Yes, I did delete thousands of old emails. Still shouldn't make any difference for retrieving mail, nor should the client be overwhelmed by commands it successfully executed days ago.

Its not all emails but it seems to be emails that maybe also have an image in the body of the email right away that is perhaps in a specific format that it happens.

La cartella che li contiene sul mio pc riporta il peso di ogni file, che non è affatto zero. Ora mi chiedo: 1) perché il gestore Altapec mi dice che i files non sono stati eliminati dalla mia casella, mentre io ho verificato in tutte le cartelle di detta casella che non c'è nulla, eccetto una PEC? 1) se i files non sono stati definitivamente eliminati, allora il gestore della mia casella PEC non può recuperare dal proprio server questi files con un programma recupero dati e inviarmeli? Every time this happens, I have to manually verify my sign-in information, and it goes through without any issues. Everything stays OK for a week's time or whatever, and then, boom, I get this again. Is anyone else having this problem? Are the Thunderbird developers aware of this problem? Is there a fix I can try to stop this from happening again? Thank you very much.

I use Thunderbird on a MacBook Air running Sequoia. In the last month or so, Thunderbird has taken to sending emails to my spam folder when it shouldn't. To clarify: I am aware Thunderbird does not have its own whitelisting process, but makes use of address books. All the addresses recently characterised as spam are listed in my basic address book, Mac OS's proprietary "Contacts"; most of the emails were from private correspondents, and as far as I can tell included no spam trigger phrases such as "special offer"! If this problem is insoluble, or inherent to the application, I will be forced to abandon Thunderbird, which is otherwise perfectly satisfactory. Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble with my Samsung Email app. For some reason, my emails are not syncing properly. I’ve noticed that new emails are not coming in unless I manually refresh the app. This has been going on for a while, and it’s causing me to miss important messages. I’ve tried restarting my phone and checking the internet connection, but nothing seems to work. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the app settings or something else. Is anyone else facing this issue? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
