I have set the option to "Open previous windows and tabs" at Startup. But sometimes when I restart Firefox it starts out blank. Then I looked into how I could restore previous session but contrary to the article below, I couldn't find "Restore Previous Session" option under Settings/History. Please advise what I am missing. So I have this habbit I love which is opening a link on a new tab, then continue browsing the content on my old tab until the new one loads, or when I am done reading through it. Recently, firefox has been switching automatically to the new tab once it loads, which interrupts my workflow/reading a lot.

Is there a way I can stop this or turn this feature off? I believe I start experiencing this after an update.

Can anyone please help me figure out why can't I access my multiple open Firefox tabs on my Widow 11 desktop unless I open a new tab, and then click on the three line Firefox app menu symbol, then select "History" and then go back? I don't even have to choose a function under "History". I just go back to the tabs and they have become available to be selected and activated. This fix is only temporary and may have to be repeated several times in one session. The misbehaving tabs show up in a horizontal row over my toolbar area (sometimes as dark panels after an update) but clicking on them just causes the row of tabs shown, or the vertical list of excessive multiple tabs, to disappear. I tried selecting troubleshoot mode, but did not see any indications of errors. This problem only began after my last Firefox update and does not go away after a Windows reboot.

I've just updated Firefox to 136.0 and found the "return closed tab" key became blank and ineffective. I read the update log but didn't find infomation about this change. The function was useful to me and I hope to get it back.

Since the last two Firefox updates currently have 136.0.2 (64-bit) "Open link in new tab" has been doing weird stuff like.... 1) it will open the link in a new tab BUT also opens the link in the already open tab giving me two open pages the same. Kind of defeats the option of "Open link in new tab". 2) trying to highlight text is not as simple as it once was. Left click before the text hold then drag, sometimes it starts then the blue highlight box just disappears or jumps to a different part of the text and sometimes nothing at all happens. 3) the mouse has been playing up as well since the last two Firefox updates, click the x in a tab to close the tab nothing happens and it is not as accurate there was a sort of margin to where the pointer had to been before the command worked not right on whatever you wanted the pointer to operate now it has to be as accurate as possible before it recognizes the command as the x to close a tab ect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and drivers still happens. A still image would not really show the problem I need a video but I don't know how to do that and could I upload it? I have a couple questions on tab groups, I'm a new ms edge refuge but this not as smooth as I would like :). I realize tab groups are oddly new for FF, but I'm trying to get setup and running into two main issues. 1. I cant seem to freely reorder the tab groups, I can move the individual book pages no problem but not the groups as a whole. I would expect to be able to left hold click drag the order of the groups just like individual tabs. 2. Tab groups don't seem to exist across clients (or maybe I'm missing the how). If I open FF on my mac I would expect to see or at least be able to reopen the same tab groups as my windows PC, not just the individual pages from history on other device. Is there a way to do this? 3. can't import tab groups from edge? You don't want to make it easy for folks to switch?

I need someone to phone me to got step by step to stop tabs from loading. I see the answer but I am not a computer guru so need someone to assist me step by step to stop all my historical tabs from loading.

Hello, Win11 Pro 24H2 Firefox 136.0.2 (64-bit)

When I alt tab over to my firefox windows and then press ctrl t to open a new tab it does not work most of the time. I have to sit and hit the keys 10-20 times before it will allow me to open a new tab. Do you have any idea why this is happening? I have tried safe mode with firefox and the issue persists so it is definitely not any extension that I run.

I have vertical tabs enabled and I'm trying to access the tab overview menu to close duplicate tabs. Unfortunately I can't find this menu anymore. If I disable vertical tabs, I can see the icon in the top right. How do

Hi a few well known sites annoyingly load booking.com in a new tab on my firebox browser. I cant stand this it is intrusive. How to I stop firefox from doing this - I have block pops setting enabled but does not help.

Offending sites to name but a few are ryanair, thetrainline, and a few others. Is there a way to stop this without stopping other legitimate needed new tabs such as with Gmail login

I currently have Firefox to open at startup showing three different websites. When I open a new window, the same three sites are open. I would prefer all new windows to open with one new tab only. I don't much care whether that new tab displays some sort of blank page or home page or a website I have chosen or whatever.

I can't find a setting or an extension which allows this. Can anyone help?

I have over 2000 tabs stored in multiple tab groups using the Legacy extension "TAB GROUPS" in Firefox 56. I recognize this is out of date and I was going to migrate the tabs to the current version. I was unaware that Tab Group would no longer be verified as of March 14. I need to save all of the tabs in TAB GROUPS to favorites. Is there someway to temporarily enable TAB GROUPS so I can recover the websites? Is there a session file that has the websites that I can access? Help - I am in desperate need!

When I open Firefox browser around ten several weeks old tabs are there. It is not set in the setting to open. I did many attempts to get rid of this nuisance and they are still here. I Created new profile, erased all profiles, removed Firefox, and reinstalled with option not to use old setting since new installation found that the fire fox has been installed. And frustration part that Mozilla do not offer (as I know) support to fix this problem. This glitch is hidden somewhere and the program always find it an put it back. I am not sure if what to do as I run out of options, other than turn to another browser after many years using only Firefox with no problems at all. Thanks Ned
