Every time I see a box to enter a username or on some websites, any box that needs information filled in, a pop-up box appears that says "unlock your password manager." I was finally able to get to a website at moz-extension://b5ea3638-1832-4174-a490-4c5e77c0dbc6/html/index.html. The page says "Welcome My Financial Expert Password Manager securely stores, organizes, and autofills your logins, passwords, and more. Sign in to get started." Is this a legitimate mozilla extension? Is this a scam? How do I get rid of it (it's REALLY annoying!)? Thank you for your help and any insight.

When I've had trouble signing-in to a commercial website, it often says, "Clear your cache." But in Firefox settings, it looks like clearing it will cause my frequently-used passwords to disappear. Am I reading that correctly? If it's true, how can I clear my cache without losing "remembered" passwords and other log-in information?

I'm not very tech-savvy, so need instructions in very plain, "for dummies" English. Thank you for any help.

Am trying to access a TV site and the site appears as a page but does not provide any functionality for days now. Have contacted the site and followed their advice without any results. Could this possibly be a Mozilla issue?

Dear Firefox Support Team, I am reaching out for assistance with recovering my bookmarks, which are very important to me. Recently, my laptop broke down, so I created a backup of my files and system. After purchasing a new laptop, I installed Firefox and attempted to restore my data, particularly my bookmarks and passwords. Unfortunately, during the process, I had to reset my Firefox account password because I had forgotten the original one. At the time, I did not fully realize that this would result in the loss of my synced data. I later learned that this action may have removed access to my previous settings. I checked my backup files, including the Application Support folder, but I was unable to find the necessary data to restore my bookmarks. I am certain that synchronization was enabled on my previous device, but after logging into my account on the new laptop, none of my bookmarks were restored. This situation is quite urgent for me, and I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Is there any possibility that my bookmarks could still be recovered? All the icons in my Bookmark Toolbar have been working great with no errors for several years, through countless updates with no problem. Then, recently I noticed all the icons lost the color icons and just show as a wire globe. Clicking on them, any one of them, they all go to the same website. If I remove them, got to the website I want there, and drag the URL to the bookmark bar, things are back to normal for that icon. So I replaced each one, and the next day, when I open Firefox, all the icons are again wire globes. It seems that Firefox will not retain the URL for any of the icons.

Double-click the browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo preference to display a dialog where you can enter the desired value, which in your case might be 0 and then click OK. I have an HP desktop running windows 11 and have been unable to prevent history from keeping recently closed tabs.

I use the web client of Outlook for my work email. However, I've run into an issue: while I can log in through Firefox, every so often (and lately it's been quite often) I launch the Outlook webpage, and all I get is just a bunch of code (see image). The only thing I've found that makes the page work again is to clear all cookies and cache, and clear the start-up cache, and then launch Firefox again. Obviously, this is very annoying, since I have to log in anew every time (and use 2-step verification, etc.). Does anyone know how I might fix this more permanently so I don't have to keep clearing all my cookies and logging in all over multiple times a week?

On new tab, all my added short cuts are gone and it doesn't let me add any. For example I want to have a shortcut to say... Amazon, but when I type or paste in the url, it still doesn't add it and the add button goes blue, not white. I have the shortcut feature turned on

I recently switched to Linux on both my laptop and desktop computers, and I have started having an issue where after closing Firefox, the process does not end fully, leading to a Firefox crash notice after a minute or two.

This seems to only happen when I have sync turned on. It always says "syncing..." and never finishes, and logging out of my account or turning sync off fixes this problem. However, I'd really like to be able to use sync across my two systems.

My laptop is running Pop OS, and my desktop is running CachyOS. Making a new account fixed this error for a few days, and now it is happening again.

I have always used a master password for years and I love it. Ever since the last update came in it will not keep my passwords after I shut my computer down. I have to re enter them every day. How can I fix this?

I've always had my "Open previous windows and tabs" setting on and its never failed for me but today I opened Firefox and it none of my previous windows opened, it just opened to a blank window and I've tried to recover my previous sessions but my "Recently closed windows" tab in history won't open. Not really sure what to do here as I would like to have my previous windows since I didn't bookmark them which I probably should've done

I can no longer the the "Fry's digital coupons". When I go online to Fry's and click on "Fry's digital coupons" it always says that "there are no coupons available, try again later". When I keep retrying it then says "you are not authorized to on this page." And the Fry's customer service always says it's my browser contact that is the problem.

Can you help me?

I need help with a problem that has tortured me for weeks. I use debian 13 with plasmakde. I don't know why, but when I connect to a wifi after some time it doesn't work anymore ONLY with Firefox. I can perfectly use any other app which requires internet but firefox. Sometimes it gives me the error "The connection has timed out", sometimes the error "Unable to find the proxy server" (even if I selected no proxy in the network settings). I searched online but I couldn't find anything helpful, so I can only hope to find a solution in here. Thank you very much in advance!
