there is no option to delete attached images, at least on a phone, but thanks for clarifying.

Under the advanced settings for fonts, there is a dropdown menu listing various scripts. These are the only fonts which Firefox can render. For example, there is no option for Coptic, so any Coptic characters are rendered as a box containing the Unicode key.

The fonts in question are installed on my computer and even show up in all of the dropdown menus; Firefox just can't access them.

Firefox does not display thumbnails for some photos I've uploaded to Proton Drive. I can view the photos normally when double-clicking on the thumbnail placeholder, but the thumbnails themselves do not appear.

Note: this is not the case for ALL photos (all are JPG format), only some. Proton help desk claims this may be due to Firefox privacy protections, but disabling those protections for their web site has no effect.

As part of my maintenance process, I have a utility that travels the entire file storage on all computers. Yes, it takes time but is necessary.

My problem is in the home directory is a .mozilla directory and. while processing the directory to the bottom, my process is attempting to look at files that don't exist! An example is: .mozilla/firefox/tar3lacg.default-release/storage/default/https+++www.youtube.com/cache/morgue/97/{71caaab5-6413-4293-ad75-dd3a833ae461}.final

There are a completely unreasonable amount of these files and they just don't exist on the computer! It is causing my error logs to fill up with useless information that is taking way, way too much of my time. Obviously, I can't delete non-existent files, so there seems to be no easy fix. I tend to think these are soft links to these non-existent files, making them broken and therefore problematic. That seems to be the only place where my process can find the names of files that don't exist.

Can this be verified? Can I be let in on the secret place where they can be found and eliminated?

Hi Support Team. Thanks for being there. It's late at night so probably my brain isn't processing your help topics correctly, but I was asked to install a firefox update on my windows 10 desktop system, and I clicked on allow it to make changes to my computer and when I came back to firefox my bookmarks have completelhy disappeared and the system won't let me restore them or add new ones. i can't understand the whole profiles thing and I don't want to close my current windows and lose all my tabs. If there isn't an easy way of fixing this problem without closing everything and restarting, then I'll just have to live without bookmarks. Any suggestions? Thanks. [edited email from public]

Whenever i click install theme, it seems to just load indefinitely and doesnt actually download it. It just gets stuck as shown in the image, with it sliding back and forth.

Since a few weeks I have been encountering an issue where tabs in Firefox would frequently crash. I do have various add-ons installed, however I haven't installed any new ones around the time the issue has been occurring. I've been unable to track down which add-on or if any add-on might be causing this.

Trying to search for this issue all I could come up with is that it might be an issue of a faulty CPU. I have an i9-13900KF which has been known to be part of the Intel generation with serious flaws. However I already installed a BIOS update and applied Intel's recommended settings to undervolt the CPU to prevent any issues. This was well before the Firefox tab crashing issue happened. So I'm not sure if it can really be the issue of a faulty CPU, but I've also had issues of other programs randomly crashing recently (like Discord or Steam).

The tab crash can occur on any website, for example Youtube, Duckduckgo, Protonmail, etc. The crash reason always is either "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ" or just "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". The crash also most of the time (but not always) occurs when loading the page itself or a video / live stream on it. But not when browsing an already loaded page (for example this forum post page I'm writing right now).

I have a remote job that requires me to swiftly do online searches and send emails. Firefox is my preferred browser, but sadly I notice that it tends to sometimes be slow in loading pages. Any ideas for how I can improve it, or how Firefox can improve its performance on my machine? Here's info to help you troubleshoot:

--I always download the most recent Firefox updates when prompted. --My machine is a Lenovo with a lot of memory running on Windows 11 (I think), so the machine itself runs really fast on other browsers, such as Google Chrome. --Firefox seems to be slowest in the afternoon, which puzzled me. --I'm connected to the internet via high-speed cable, not slow WiFi.

I lost power due to the power company changing my meter and firefox probably updated while I was working. I come back, 16 years worth of bookmarks are gone, my quick click tiles are gone my browser history is gone too. I don't know how to get it all back.

But on my other pc the only stuff gone is from the past month of two. I specifically made a firefox account to AVOID something like this and it happened anyway!

Firefox version is 142.0.1, and is reported as up to date. MacOS Sequoia. Page Info. Camera permission I am unable to manually uncheck the default Always ask which is required before being able to check the Allow toggle.

I need a workaroundfor this apparent beg.

I have asked this question before and followed ALL recommendations to no avail. I received no other suggestions to now, nearly a year later I am asking this question again. I am running a fully updated Windows 11 computer. I have 4 fully up to date browsers; Vivaldi 7.5.3735.66 (Stable channel) (64-bit); EDGE Version 139.0.3405.125 (Official build) (64-bit); DuckDuckGo version 0.126.3; and Firefox 142.01. I play Bejeweled Blitz on FaceBook. The game works perfectly on all browsers EXCEPT Firefox. When I try to play on Firefox I get a message that says I must "upgrade to the latest version of Flash:. There is NO flash anymore. Why am I getting this message on Firefox but the game works just fine on all other browsers?

I lost all my bookmark folders after doing a FireFox refresh. My bookmark bar is still intact. The only reason I thought it necessary to do a refresh is because I was having trouble getting my long established home page to load. PLEASE HELP !

I like the vertical tabs in the latest FF update, but the expand on hover feature only works for a short time, then the sidebar gets stuck either closed or open. I have to open settings and click the hover option. And when the sidebar is stuck open, it covers the settings sidebar, which is a pain in the neck. This happens frequently enough to make me go back to horizontal tabs.

Also, when this happens the x to close a tab disappears, and I have to right click the tab and scroll down to 'close tab.' I hope you can fix these bugs.

I'm sorry but this is garbage.

I see posts here from five years ago asking about this, and fixing this issue is a non-trivial process particularly for those not computer literate enough. It should literally just work out of the box with zero issues like EVERY OTHER BROWSER.

Crap like this is why I dumped this browser years ago, I guess I was right to do so.
