Firefox inhibits power management, causing the screensaver to not activate. This happens when I am not running a video. It happens if I open a website that has video but I do not run the video. If I turn off Firefox the screensaver works. Screensaver is set to activate at 5 minutes. Power Management is set to turn off screen when inactive for 7 minutes. Linuxmint 21.3. and on another computer - Linuxmint 22.0

Sometimes it says secure connection failed or the connection has timed out. On certain sites it says that almost all of them like twitter and facebook and so forth. What do I do?

Very frustrating with many websites especially Amazon hanging and freezing on Firefox, this happens in Windows 10 across multiple computers, this issue doesn't happen on Chrome or Safari. Ad blocking has been turned off, hardware acceleration disabled, and multiple times complete reinstalls have been performed of Windows 10. For instance on Amazon, these websites seem to hang when loading, either freezing the browser with no mouse input allowed or loading broken images:

I've had to use Chrome on these multiple computers when ordering from Amazon, any insight would be appreciated.

when ever i try to use Firefox to do a Facebook or /messenger video or audio with some on on Facebook it does not let me/. I have tried with all add on disabled and still no. Come on tell me how or what to do. There are others saying the same thing . can you fix it or tell me how to make it work. I have to go to Chrome to use it. Just not right i have used firefox for more that i can remember but if it keeps up you may have me switch to chrome. Please fix it or tell me how to get it

Today I was filling in a contract with a government organization. The type that allows me to answer questions and submit. I clicked on something else before finishing and I could not retrieve my work.

I have tried ALL of the suggestions available in HISTORY (restore previous session) open closed tabs etc Etc.

Nothing works

It started doing this last week. I had this happening a couple versions ago but it went away by itself (I think).

Clearing cache won't help, not restarting it in Troubleshoot mode, etc.

Firefox is up-to-date and this was fixed a couple versions ago.

YOU HAVE RUINED MY CANON PICTURE PROGRAM THAT I WAS USING TO DOWNLOAD PICTURES FROM MY CAMERA MEMORY CARD. AFTER THIS LATEST UPDATE THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE I CAN NO LONGER DOWNLOAD THE PICTURES AS BEFORE OR ATTACH THEM TO EMAILS..

I'm unable to stream content on Spotify and Netflix in Firefox due to a recurring "WidevineCdm plugin has crashed" error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steps I've already taken to troubleshoot:

• Ensured "Play DRM-restricted content" is enabled in Firefox.
• Tested with a completely clean Firefox profile.
• Tried the portable version of Firefox (131.0.3) as well, but the same issue arose.
• Verified that streaming works fine on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, so I don't think it's an issue with my PC or security software (I temporarily disabled it for testing purposes).
• Made sure I'm not using any VPN or proxy.
• Performed a clean reinstall of the latest Firefox version.

System information:

• OS: Windows 11 (23H2)
• Firefox version: 132.0

When I click on Firefox, the top menu bar is dimmed. When I click on New Tab or New Window, nothing happens. I've downloaded, reinstalled and updated the latest version of Firefox but it doesn't work. I've also clicked Option when opening Firefox. I click Refresh Firefox and it works but when I quit and restart, I'm back to the same problem again.

As a user with a low-end system, I sincerely request that future updates consider compatibility with older or less powerful hardware. Firefox has always stood out for its accessibility, and I believe that supporting a wider range of devices would further enhance the browser’s appeal to users like me.

I would be grateful if there could be an option or version of Firefox optimized for systems with limited resources. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.

Since 132.0-1 and higher (installed with snap) on Ubuntu 22.04, I can't download opened PDF and image files, nor can I use pop-up windows (downloading files only works if there is a clickable button on the website, even "Save link as..." doesn't work). Changing my privacy settings and disabling all sorts of protection add-ons didn't help.

A few versions ago (donʼt know exact one) a new effect appeared: when pressing right mouse button on an element to get its menu (standard Firefox menu, not overridden by the page), if mouse cursor position is over a popup menu item, this item is immediately selected on mouse _release_ button.

In most cases the context menu popups right to the mouse position and this causes no effect. But if there is no place to right (the selected element is near right screen margin), a menu item appears under the cursor and, as stated above, is selected. It is unpredictable what item will be selected.

This is rather controllable (although annoying) with real mouse but uncontrollable with touchpad, as on most laptops.

Please suggest how to disable reaction on the mouse button release.
