With the latest updates (FF Dev Ed 131.0b9 and FF release 130.0.1) for iMac (OS 14.7), my browser has become jerky when using the directiion keys and even the delete when I hold the key down. If I just keep pressing it quickly, it seems OK. I can't see any setting that changes this and I don't have it with Safari. What is going on?

I recently upgraded to latest version of Firefox... maybe 128... and after many crashes, now it fails to start with the error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). I'm supposing I should reinstall, but concerned about preserving bookmarks and passwords. Any advice appreciated. [I'm a very long-time user of Firefox.]

Since my last update (using ver 129), I can no longer switch to an alternate search engine from the list on the menu bar. My alternates are there but nothing happens when I select one.

Hello Mozilla! For a few days, Firefox has been offering me a bad identifier when I fill out a form. It offers me my email address and now the address of a friend. However, neither of them appears in my automatic filling data of my preferences… and therefore impossible to remove it! Can you help me please? I can't find the right answer on the forums… Thank you very much to the whole team for this great work that you do.

I just installed Firefox on a new device and wanted to set it up to mirrow my Firefox setup on another device. On this other device, I use both Firefox and Chrome, but I keep them separate, so that Chrome is associated with my Google account and Firefox with my work/professional account. When I installed Firefox on my new device, it defaulted to using bookmarks from my Chrome account somehow. Thinking I could inherit the correct bookmarks from Firefox on my old device, I turned on Sync for my new Firefox. But this had the opposite effect: it sent the Chrome bookmarks from my new Firefox to the Firefox on my old device. I even have a third device running Firefox in the same framework as my old device (so, Firefox=professional, Chrome=personal/Google), and this third device also automatically acquired the Chrome bookmarks from the Firefox on my new device.

How do I fix this? How do I recover the Firefox bookmarks (my non-Google Chrome bookmarks)? Thank you!

Ever since a recent browser update, I have been seeing little pop-up windows in the lower left corner, suggesting other web pages to view. I don't know where they come from or how to shut them off. I already have pop-ups disabled.

I have a https://mtrb.org/ blog which is setup using WordPress. Can I use custom cookies for Mozilla browsers? If yes, than can anyone please guide the procedure.

Warun habe ich Version 115 und auf einem anderen PC und Laptop die Version 128. Alle behaupten ich hätte die neueste Version.Hauptproblem ist, daß seit dem 1.8.2024, 17.16 Uhr auf dem PC mit der Version 115 die Symbolleiste und alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind. I put in a web address and password for a bank and hit enter - it doesn't go through and comes back to the log-in page It was working. I don't know what happened

Is there software that will being me (more or less) up to date? I'm pretty much computer illiterate, so keeping it simple would be greatly appreciated. Buying a new iMac and transferring files is a last resort...

Up until the latest Firefox Nightly release, I could click on the '+' to open a new tab and immediately start typing the URL. Now, however, I am required to select a container type, something that is useless to me. Is there a way to disable this?

UPDATE: Never mind, I found the setting for Enable Container Tabs, which needs to be deselected. Why is this an opt-out?

York County, SC. Comporium is my streaming TV provider. Been watching on my PC for years. Suddenly I get this when I try to log on: "Firefox can’t find the file at https://streamtv.comporium.com/browse/live." So I reluctantly switch over to Chrome which finds it immediately. Thanks in advance.

On many site where I try to login, when I hit the LOGIN button nothing happens. This does not happen if I open a private window. I am on version 129.0.2.

The latest update also seems to force Firefox to occasionally run at turtle speed. Any time there is an update Firefox will slow the whole computer to turtle speed. When I reboot, Firefox can take up to 15 minutes to fully load if there is more than one window to load.

Is there a fix for all this? Thanks

When Firefox (130.0) presents the message: "Still not able to restore your session? Sometimes a tab is causing the issue." when Firefox starts, Firefox should help the user by identifying the tab(s) that caused the Restore Session to fail.

Last week I accessed Duolingo and it worked fine. Now I get to the site and it just shows "loading."

What has changed? (I tried Chrome and it works fine.)

I have not made any changes to the settings in either Duolingo or Firefox.

I mistakenly dragged a text from a search box and dropped it on my browser page. If this text is a url (Ex: www.some_site.com), Firefox will navigate to that page. How do I prevent Firefox from opening dropped links on pages?
