Latest update shows a new built in Firefox VPN provided but there is not any icon etc to start. Nothing about it on my Firefox browser. I checked at " customize toolbar " and nothing for a VPN even there. I am from Turkiye. I need it . Thank you.

I use Firefox as it is one of the last good browsers that isn't chromium based. However, I use it for work and like a nice clean PROFESSIONAL look.

With the introduction of version 149, I see new cartoonish fox icons pop up all over the place. After a little research it appears to be Kit, the firefox mascot.

Let me be clear, I don't hate the mascot, he's cute. But that is not what I want in a browser. I find his appearance and lack of ability to eliminate him infuriating.

I try to run a firefox in a as minimalistic state as possible. Intruducutions of this character, make the browser feel cartoony and childish. Things I despise in an application. I know many people like him, but I would like the option to not have him appear in the application at all.

I was able to successfully remove him from the certificate warning page setting the flag: security.certerrors.felt-privacy-v1 --> FALSE.

However, I can't find other places to remove this nuisance. Take a look at the attached screenshot. Things like this are not welcome without a way to disable it.

Do you have any documentation or instructions I can use to disable this childish nonsense and restore an adult browser again?

so after launching firefox i noticed that the shortcut icons below the search bar are smaller which is just frustrating and i can't find anywhere how to change them, could i get some help with this?

I'm signed in, firefox updated telling me all about the beta, I can turn on the VPN, however the VPN will not connect to any website I attempt to go to.

It's a feature I really want to use, and started using my firefox account for it. Do you have any recommendations?

Fire fox is automatically playing videos/sound or both if I click on a tab that has that or also in facebook, etc. How do I stop this? I want to be able to click play when I want to hear/see something.

Hi! Have several bookmarks that in the list are called "patient portal." I would like to change them so they have the doctors name to make it easier to find the one I need. I am running on Windows 11, with Version 150.0.3 (64-bit).

I have tried right clicking on the bookmark and there is no option to change the name. I looked under "organize" and again, no options.

Please, is it possible to do what I need?

I am getting a message that secure connection failed, it is happening for Amazon.com and maybe netflix as I can't log on or access the sites

I just updated Firefox to version 151.0. The release notes say:

"Private Browsing Mode now allows you to instantly clear all data from your current session without closing the entire window. When you select the End Private Session button (the fire icon) to the right of the URL bar, Firefox will ask you to confirm to clear your session. Once confirmed, it will wipe all of your private browsing data and open a fresh new Private Browsing Mode session for you."

There is no "fire icon" in my toolbar in private browsing windows. I have tried resetting my toolbar to defaults, but that didn't help. I re-installed Firefox 151.0, but that didn't help. I re-booted my system, but that didn't help. I have run out of ideas.

Can anyone tell me how to get this button to appear in the toolbar in private browsing sessions?

I'm using Windows 11 25H2 on a Dell XPS 9630 tower computer.

Hello, I am using the latest version of Windows 11 and Firefox, but I still do not have the built-in VPN. I have had the VPN option for over a month at work. Why do I still not have VPN? There is no option in Settings for VPN either.

I have been testing all browsers I use (Firefox, Chrome, Edge) on Cloudflare Post-Quantum Key Agreement to verify PQC support. They all support the X25519MLKEM768 hybrid scheme (i.e. Cloudflare web page returns "You are using X25519MLKEM768 which is post-quantum secure").

The issue: When I run the test in Firefox multiple times by doing repeated hard refreshes (Ctrl+Shift+R), quite often the result is "You are using X25519 which is not post-quantum secure". Sometimes the very first run after opening Firefox gives the X25519 (failing) result. "Often" varies. Sometimes it's around 10 fails out of 50 tests, other times it's 1 out of 50. It seems random.

I have read that sometimes networking equipment or even ISPs can be the cause of PQC requests falling back to non-PQC due to the long keys in PQC, but I do not see this intermittent issue with Chrome or Edge on the same computer/network/ISP as Firefox. I have not seen a single failure so far on those two browsers. The only variable I am aware of is the web browser.

I also tried connecting to a cellular hotspot as well as disabling my Norton 360 firewall and the results are the same as above.

Below I have attached two images, what it currently looks like, and an approximation of what it used to look like. Since the last update, the logo has been far lower down, and the shortcuts spaced out more (I believe.) It feels rather uncomfortable and difficult for everything to be on the lower half of the screen, whilst the tabs and bookmarks are on the top half of the screen. Is there a way to revert this change?

Have been a FireFox user for a dang long time, like over 20 yrs I think, but this is getting out of control what is going on with the browser!~

 They First removed all the Un-Used short-cut tabs an left us with one over a year ago, then they forced it to the end a few months ago!~

Now they moved the Short-cuts up higher without even giving us the chance to lower them back down to better eye level, an the purple ring around them is not a good look either!~

 I know this browser is free to use, but still it's like the government forcing things onto us without even the ability to say anything, you want people to be happy using ya Internet Browser, but never ask ppl their opinions on anything you do!~

 What is it the PUBLIC can do to get this to stop or atleast be asked before anything is added so that way you do not end up loosing more users to goofle or other browsers like Internet Explorer??~~

I can open gmail but it does not refresh. If I clear the cache it refreshes the first time only. Sometimes I get a message saying that my account is temporarily unavailable but I can access gmail with no problem on my iPhone, android tablet and with Google Chrome without any problems. Turning off the Advanced Tracking does not resolve the problem.
