Do you need help removing the Babylon Toolbar?
Try locating the Babylon program directory on your computer's hard drive.
Or are you looking for a review of Malware Fix Free?
I always recommend not using free scanning tools because they do not have all of the features and detection abilities as a full payware software.
but if you are still looking for a free malware tool, try these ones:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
I have never tried the malware tool that you named above.

babylon is now usually fairly easy to remove without any additional tools.
- Follow these instructions
- Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page
- and specifically How to remove the Babylon toolbar, home page and search engine
- Using the search reset addon afterwards. Note the addon runs and removes itself.
If you use the reset method please read the article first and note you will lose some information.
- Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems
You may wish to close most open tabs, and bookmark any open tabs, and the homesites of all your extensions.
In future try to take care with downloads and installs of software.
- Try to read reviews of both the software and the download site
- Watch out for bundled software that you do not have to accept
After uninstalling these you may also wish to do scans for malware with multiple and up-to-date-tools.
Note babylon needs uninstalling from the Windows control panel, but our instruction articles should work. This type of software is often unwanted but is not strictly malware and should uninstall without problems.
Looking briefly at the site http://malwarefixfree.com/ it seems mainly to be a site offering advice and videos on how to deal with malware.
The finer details and full complexities of malware removal is not really within the scope of this forum. We try to provide
- general answers to the straight forward cases
- including a specific article about Babylon, as removal of this was ta one time a very frequent question
- links to some of the free to use tools and sites that have built up a good reputation amongst our contributors.
