Hi,

Please try opening an empty new tab (Ctrl + T). If it works then you may have to change to Show a blank page in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > General > When Firefox starts:

A Persona only covers the user interface part of Firefox (toolbars) and not the browser window with the web pages.

Add extra empty toolbars if you want to see more of the persona.
You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via View > Toolbars > Customize
You have to put something on a toolbar (drag a Space item onto it) before closing the Customize window because empty toolbars are automatically removed.
