Thanks Have done that and run program. It shows no problems, but I am no further in solving the problem. Would you suggest uninstalling and reinstalling this same program or installing 4. As whatever is wrong its not obvious. thansk

I still can't load Gmail, Firefox seems to be the problem and looking through the posts I am not the only one who is seriously thinking about Chrome full time. This is such a shame, as i have raved about Firefox and am now quite embarrassed by the fact that I have recommended this to so many people and businesses. Who are now probably cursing me. I set them all up with Gmail accounts. I will be emailing everybody I can think of to apologize and recommend they use Chrome if they are having the same problems I am having
