Home page bookmarks are missing. I am not able to add bookmarks there.

Home page bookmarks are missing. I am not able to add bookmarks on the home page either. But if I click on the top search bar, all of my missing bookmarks appear, but just a miniaturized version. Please restore the original home page layout.
