Windows 10 professional for workstations Firefox build 126.0

My browser auto updated today and after the refresh I found that the history under the address bar has been broken. It now displays only in part and over top of the address bar itself which as you can imagine is unusable. See image attached.

I entered troubleshoot mode and the problem went away. So I disabled all my extensions and addons, but the problem persists (when not in trouble shoot mode)

Any idea what could be causing this? It is hampering my ability to do my job.

It looks like you're using custom userChrome.css modifications. Try to remove it.

I should have written back, but I wound up doing a firefox refresh which solved the problem. You are probably correct I remember adding userChrome.css modifications a couple of years ago. I don't even recall what problem the .css was intended to solve, no doubt some update that caused me a issue.

Firefox is always changing something that affects my work flow, this time it stopped me cold because I couldn't even see what I was typing in the address bar.

Thank you for the response TyDraniu, I really appreciate the time you took to help me out. But after the refresh my problem was solved. Now if I can figure out how to get my refresh button back and learn how to put icons for my 2 addons back on the menu bar I'll be golden.

I have no clue what happened to my refresh/stop button. It just disappeared and it doesn't even show up as an option in my customize menu. It's not on the address bar or menu bar.

Note that your attached Troubleshooting Information shows that you were using userChrome.css.

LegacyUserStylesheets:
 active: TRUE
 types: [userChrome.css]

Firefox 109 comes with the Extensions button in the Navigation Toolbar as the new way to manage your extensions. The panel that opens if you click the Extensions button (puzzle piece icon) serves as overflow area for extensions you install. The legacy chevron (>>) overflow area still exists but is only used for built-in toolbar buttons as found in the Customize page.

In the Extensions button panel, you can click the gear icon Fx91GearIcon next to an extension or use the right-click context menu to pin the extension to the toolbar (Pin to Toolbar). To (re)move the extension from the toolbar back to the Extensions button panel, you can use "Unpin from Toolbar" in the right-click context menu.
