Won't connect to the internet and doesn't load pages at all
Hello, this is a problem I've been dealing with for nearly 2 months now. Currently using Linux Mint Cinnamon
The browser won't connect to any websites or even try to load them, anytime I search for something it immediately goes to the error page. I've been struggling with internet on my PC for months and all was fixed when I hooked up ethernet, except for Firefox.
I've gone into about:config countless times. I've restarted it twice, I've tried installing the flatpak version and it's exactly the same result. I've deleted it and reinstalled, nothing. I've unchecked everything I've changed in about:config, once again nothing.
I can't update it as for some reason it says it's disabled by system administrator, which I don't remember enabling. I checked the firewall and it's perfectly fine. No infections were found when I scanned as well.
It's starting to become frustrating and I can't even do anything on my PC because it's acting up. Any and all help is more than appreciated and welcome. Thank you.

You could try clearing the cache then deleting Cookies.

If none of those fixes the issue, try restarting in troubleshoot mode. Do NOT use 'refresh' as you may lose data.

If necessary, you could try creating a new profile for Firefox. In the first article linked below there are sections telling you how to open the profile manager with Firefox open or closed.

See the other articles for copying data from the old profile to the new profile. You need to do that with Firefox closed.

Or rather Mozilla just does not provide Firefox updates to third-party builds they did not well build. They only provide internal updates to their own Windows, macOS, and Linux builds of Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
Try changing DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to "Off" or "Max Protection" and in Connection Settings change "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".
Update flatpak packages by running:
flatpak update
Unfortunately none of these have worked. I have actually tried installing another browser but I always get an error message saying -
E:http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu jammy/universe amd64 libdirectfb-1.7-7 amd64 1.7.7-9build1 is not (yet) available (Could not resolve 'archive.ubuntu.com')
It also gives me 2 other messages saying the same but instead of libdirectfb, it's liblz1 and links2 (the browser I was trying to install)
Do you think I should just reset the whole thing? I have a drive that everything is backed on, but do you think it'd be the same regardless?
