Firefox goes through a "verification" process each time I open it. Is this normal procedure now?
Using Mac OS X 10.10.3 and Firefox 38.0.1. When opening, Firefox goes through a "verification" each and every time. Is this the new norm?

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.
Open the Firefox disk image file and drag the Firefox program into the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

I don't have a Mac, but I don't think Firefox should be doing that. What exactly does the verification dialog that appears on startup say?

Thanks all for the responses. I re-downloaded it & reinstalled and all is well.
