You can switch from Google Chrome to Firefox quickly and easily. Firefox can import your bookmarks, browsing history, passwords and other data from Chrome without deleting anything or changing your Chrome settings. You'll still be able to use Chrome afterward, if needed. Here’s how:

Import your Chrome data to Firefox

Before you begin, save any open tabs in Chrome by bookmarking them into a new folder in your Chrome bookmarks bar (for example, you can name it “Open Tabs”).

1. Download and install Firefox

Go to the Firefox download page and install the latest version of Firefoxinstall the latest version of Firefoxinstall the latest version of Firefox.

2. Exit Google Chrome

Before importing data, make sure Chrome is closed. Click the three-dot menu and select ExitQuit Chrome.

3. Open Firefox

When you open Firefox for the first time, the Import Tool may appear automatically, but if it doesn’t:

1. Click File in Menu bar at the top of the screen and select Import From Another Browser… in the menu.Click the menu button in the top-right corner.

4. Choose what to import

1. In the import tool, select Google Chrome from the list of browsers.
2. Choose the data you want to import:
   • Bookmarks
   • Saved passwords
   • Browsing history
   • Extensions
   • Form autofill data

5. Complete the import

1. Click Import to begin.
2. Once the import is finished, click Done.
