Is there a size limit for a Write Area? Losing lower items in a write area and showing code as an active link.

I was inserting a series of jpeg images in a Write Area (for welcome page of log-in area of our website). Some were just images (for promo-ing events) Others were links to take people to documents/forms/groups in our database. Some text lines were also included with links. 

It has been working fine.

Friday, I added another line of text, and then I later noticed the last six images had "disappeared". I opened write area to see what was going on, didn't see anything and re-saved. Then display showed the following: ”“

and it was an active link.

I contacted who hosts our log-in (database application) and they were able to clean up and remove the code.

Today I started to re-build what I had and successfully re-added the 6 images and was beginning to go in and add all the links, etc and the error has repeated itself.

It makes me wonder if there is some kind of area/size limit for Write Area.

I don't want to spend time again re-doing it if I can't figure out problem.

Any ideas?
