Hi In order to reduce the size of newly created message headers, after I create a new message, before I start composing, I move the header/body splitter up, so that only the top address line is shown. When I then try to enter an address into the first address line using auto-complete the address is not displayed. The address is displayed when the splitter is pulled down to show an additional address line. Is this normal behaviour, or am I doing something wrong, or does anyone have a solution to this problem? BTW I have tried values 2 and 3 for the preference mail.compose.addresswidget.numRowsShownDefault; Thanks Malcolm

I agree that the behaviour of the addressing box is a bit erratic. Its failure to show addresses that have already been entered misleads many users to think that it actually deletes them. It also often fails to show a scroll bar which would provide a visual prompt about hidden items.

I simply resort to expanding and collapsing the address box using the splitter as necessary to see what I need to see.
