Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • Open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

Firefox 23 is still a beta version.
Beta versions of Firefox have more bugs than an officially released version.

Try downgrading to Firefox 22.0.

Maybe you need to clear cache and cookies.

And if that doesnt help, create a screenshot and post it here.

Does resetting firefox help?

I am guessing that Safe Mode did not solve your problem.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Filter in the big search box security.mixed_content.block_active_content.
  4. The result should show, double click that.
  5. It should now say false beside it.
  6. Try loading "mind your kindle again".
