Android

  • Firefox is compatible with Android 2.0 and above devices.
  • Installation requires about 17 MB internal or SD card storage and 512 MB of RAM

Do you meet these requirements?

You also need an ARMv7 processor.

If the ARCHOS ARNOVA 7d G3 indeed has a ARM Cortex A8, 1 GB Ram and Android 4.0 then it may work as this cpu is a ARMv7.

dileepma, what is your exact phone model as I or others may be able to find what cpu it has.

Many older or budget phones have a ARMv6 type of cpu, which is a possibility as you say your phone only has 256Mb ram.

dileepma, it has a Samsung S5P6422 processor which is sorry to say a ARMv6.

The phone is from two years ago and was a budget, mid-range smartphone so no surprise as it was mainly the higher-end phones then that had ARMv7 at time.

These devices have ARMv6 processors and are not compatible with Firefox for Android. We are working on ARMv6 support:

Samsung i5800 Galaxy 3

There are experimental ARMv6 builds you can try listed in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=723946 and there are third-party experimental builds at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25855563
