Cannot here sound or get notification in firefox

Really need help. I work online and I have notifications and popups set to allow for firefox. The individual websites and added the sound notification but still do not hear or see a notification.

Does anyone know what to do? It is set up on Chrome as well and not working either. I work at Amazon online and need to get these notifications.

I assume you have audio output on other site, like videos, but just in case: By default, Firefox sends audio output to your system default output device (the one you can set using the speaker button in the lower right corner of the Windows Taskbar).

Can you get other kinds of notifications, such as the "desktop" notifications that pop up in the lower right corner?

Do you have any restrictions on cookies or is Firefox set to clear them when it closes?

I have headphones on and hear sounds from everything else but I don't seem to get notifications from Outlook at all when on Firefox but do when on Chrome. I cleared the cookies and cache on Sunday and the notifications stopped for Chrome or Firefox for what we call our mission control. Not even our IT seems to know why it will not work.

I am not sure about any restrictions on cookies but I do know Amazon manages almost everything.

I got an extension for firefox to add sound notifications and set the sound to full blast still nothing.

I am thinking about uninstalling firefox and chrome to start over. That will be a pain.
