when I click - to open - a downloaded message, the message immediately opens up, (after my click), but the page is all words/sentences to click on to open up to view the actual content of the Page. This is hard to describe.

Before, when I clicked a message in my inbox, the full page opened up. Now I have to do a second click to see the content of the page. Hope this helps describes my problem.

I have re-downloaded Thunderbird, but my problem remains.

I want to donate! But it is rejecting my email address which happens to be the one that I use to get on this "support" page. I have donated before to other Mozilla stuff and now that I am starting to use T-bird I want to donate to that too.

Here is the message from the T-bird donation page. "We couldn't verify that this email address is able to receive mail. Try again or enter a different email address to continue."

I clicked on all your links to donate and there was never any link for me to click and put my information. Why would anyone ask for donations and have no direct link and make it so difficult to find that one just gives up on donating? Baffles the mind. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/donate/ has no link to pay.

My most recent update is VERY difficult to understand and use. Is there any other way to ask for help with the endless really simple puzzles that this new TBird brings. I don't get any answers in this forum - or there may be answers but I can't find them. Where do users go to get quick how-to-do-it answers?

Thunderbird is a non profit. Is Mozilla anon profit too?

I am thankful as thunderbird was the only program that allowed me to make my scanner work outside of the microsoft live jungle if that makes sense. Pete

Gotta say I'm rather disappointed with the Mozilla support community forum here. It seems very poorly set up, unless I'm missing something. Perhaps I'm just missing the forum formatting page here.

The post form starts with asking "Which topic best describes your question" - well none of the ones offered. e.g. this question is about support, and that doesn't fit a category.

For technically literate users, often questions and posts will have code snippets etc in them, but there doesn't seem to be formatting support beyond bold, italic, links and bulleted lists? Is that right? No markdown for code?

Not seeing a preview your question button either, so one posts blindly without knowing if it's legible or not.

When I've tried to paste some detailed email header info in a question it was terribly displayed which can't help getting community analysis and input.

These aren't new features for community forums. One would think them standard.

Is there a posting guide for this support forum that provides formatting info that I might be missing? Is there another support discussion page somewhere else - perhaps stackExchange is more active?

I have accidentally deleted the folder for thunderbird portable that was on a USB drive. There is no recycle bin on the drive and I haven't written anything to it since I realised my mistake. Is there and easy way to recover everything?

In my work, I get PDF documents all the time from a trusted source, and in every case, I have to find an editor to make edits required.

The last time I searched, I could find only one free editor available, and that has disappeared from online access.

Thunderbird could benefit us enormously by providing an integrated PDF editor.

I am puting off upgrading from Windows 10 to 11, as regularly prompted by Microsoft messages, as I am worried it will badly affect my Thunderbird email setup, with many local folders. Is it a known probelm, and what can I do to prepare for it? I am using Thunderbird version 78.14.0 on a Dell PC (in the UK).

I understand that (at the time of writing this) "Thunderbird Release" is not ready for production yet.

But I'm confused why the Beta version doesn't have a notice then.

I love Mozilla Thunderbird and after years away came back and still love it over Outlook. However, I do use iOS and was disappointed to see no version. Yes, I have donated and wondered, what would it take to have a seperate donation option to allow funding towards an iOS version, not just Android? I would rather help donate towards getting that done than have to use outlook on my iOS device and Thunderbird everywhere else. Would the developers and community get behind this? If everyone interested could donate even only $5 a month for a set time (maybe 12 months) to see it happen, I would jump on board. What is the possibility of somehow making this happen. Hopefully enough iOS users getting on board would make this viable.

Can we make this a 2025 goal for all iOS users?
