After updating to v 133.0, when maximizing Firefox (not F11 fullscreen), a taskbar that is set to "auto-hide" will no longer unhide when mousing to the bottom of the screen. This did not occur with the previous version (132.0.2).

This behavior is also unaffected by the "devtools.toolbox.alwaysOnTop" setting in about:config as i've tried switching from the default "true" to "false".

Update: Still persists in 136.0.2

Firefox closed the browser for an automatic update two days ago, and when it came up back after the update all my open windows and tabs simply disappeared. History tab was reset to a blank page, there was no trace of anything. I tried the access through 'Menu / History / Recently closed windows' or '.../ Recently closed tabs' and they were both blank, empty, zero, nada ... This is the first time it happens to me, and I'm surprised and disappointed that such a predictable and basic bug shows up on an update.

I have a couple dozen tabs I use for task f-ups, it' unproductive and annoying to get them all back up to work. If this happens again I doubt I keep using Firefox as my preferred browser.

  1. Anybody else suffering the same issue?
  2. Is there a cure for the problem?

I have followed the instructions to resolve this, but none of them are working.

Deleting accumulated labels for deleted bookmarks

Good day,

I organize my bookmarks progressively, categorizing them by folders and labels. The labels are stored (libraries - above all the bookmarks) within their respective folder "labels". I deleted some bookmarks a few days ago and noticed that I am unable to delete the labels which have accumulated and been automatically recorded in the "Labels" folder.

How can I delete these numerous labels that are no longer linked to any bookmarks ?

Thank you for your responses and suggestions.

Yesterday 04-24-25 I had one tab open, I opened another tab to go to a differant website and the Bookmarks file folder was empty. I went back to the original tab and only one file still had bookmarks in it and when I tried to add others or export the manage bookmarks only showed about 10 to 15 bookmarks still in ALL of Firefox. There had been at least 100. When I try to add bookmarks or modify the few left It goes though the steps but makes no changed or additions to the few files that are left. So the bookmarks option has toally stopped working.

I ran both Norton and BitDefender(downloaded to see if Norton missed a Virus) Neither came back with a Virus.
 WTF guys?

I find myself frequently, and accidentally, opening links in new windows. I can literally think of no circumstance where I would ever want to open a link in a new window. After I do so, accidentally, I have to waste time closing that window and then opening the link in a new tab. Is it possible to, and if so how can I, remove the "Open in a new window" option from the right-click menu? TIA.
