Cannot move bookmarks on v148

My android phone just recently updated my firefox version to 148 (this happened today, February 27, 2026).

Since this happened, I can no longer properly manage my bookmarks. Let me describe in more detail:

I have multiple sub-folders that I use to organize my bookmarks by topic. Previously, when I edited a bookmark, I could move it into one of these sub-folders by navigating to the sub folder on the bookmark editing page. Normal, expected behavior.

  • Now* when I try to edit a bookmark, only the top-level "Bookmarks" folder is visible; if I try to expand that folder with the > carat icon, nothing happens. I only have the option to make *new* subfolders, not to navigate to subfolders that already exist.

To be clear: - I can find all my previously existing bookmark subfolders when I want to *open* a bookmark. - The problem is only when I want to *move* a bookmark into one of these existing subfolders. - When I edit a bookmark, I see the > carat icon that normally would expand the Bookmarks top-level folder, but that icon does not function. Therefore I cannot actually select any of my existing folders to move the bookmark into.

Can this function be restored to the normal behavior a.s.a.p.?

I'm attaching two screenshots to show that I have subfolders, but that I cannot access them when I edit a bookmark (pressing the expand button does nothing)

Thank you.
