Choose your opening screen for Firefox for Android

Firefox for Android lets you choose an opening screen for when you return to the homepage. You can choose to open your homepage or the last tab you visited. This helps you stay organized and pick up right where you left off – or start fresh.

Note: By default, when you open Firefox for Android after 4 or more hours of inactivity, the app will start on your homepage. If you open the app after less than 4 hours of inactivity, the app will open the last active tab.

Customize your opening screen settings

  1. Tap Customize homepage at the bottom of your homepage.
  2. Under Opening Screen, tap one of the following:
    • Homepage
    • Last tab
    • Homepage after four hours of inactivity
  3. Tap Done.
Tip: You can also access the Opening Screen by tapping successively the three-dot menu , Settings and Homepage.
