why does internet show only black screen when I plug into power source

this never happened before but now every time I plug into a power source when firefox is open, each tab only shows a black screen and I can't get the website I was on to display. If I close firefox and re-open it works fine again, but then I've lost any tabs I had open. Any ideas?

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
