I just installed the latest version of Firefox, All forms of JAVA were disabled. I need JAVA. How do I get it back.

Two days ago I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. As part of the installation a list of incompatible software which would be disabled was displayed. All forms of JAVA were on the list. I need JAVA to work with my browser. I downloaded the latest version of JAVA. How do I get JAVA compatibility or how do I revert the the previous version of Firefox which was JAVA compatible?
