I used a cc cleaner, now none of the imiages show in firefox? how do I fix please?

Hi, I ran a program to "speed up" my computer. Somehow, it has configured firefox to not show any pictures at all. I like using this browser, downloaded the new version, and still no pictures. This is hard because sometimes text is included in graphics, and i miss alot of info. Thank you. Caroline Levine

See:

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
  • Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

Stay clear of the "Advanced" section of CCleaner(it comes with heavy warnings) and you shouldn't have any problems. I use it for a general tidy-up; it won't really speed up your computer in most cases.
