the + sign at the end of the tabs no longer takes me to the last current tabs or websites it instead takes me to google search. How do i get it back to my last tab for the website I visited?

A new tab ("Ctrl+T") would open a blank page (about:blank) I expect you have an extension that changes that such as "new tab king", "new tab jumpstart", "new tab in firefox" -- some extension that includes "new tab" in its name. You can use Find on the about:support list to check your extensions.

If you find such an extension check its options.

I have tried all day to figure out why it does this.. Now I keep getting a 7zip search come up when I click on the "+" sign at the end of the tab tool bar. I was told to down load 7zip yesterday to access a program I got. And after I did I kept getting this 7zip search bar. So I went in and deleted the program "7zip' But it keeps on happening every time I click on the + sign.. I cannot figure out how to get rid of it..

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).

If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.
