I have enabled split for internet pages, but I hate it. How do I disable it?
Every time I need to click on an item near the top or bottom of a page, it splits into 2 panes without doing the thing I wanted, such as log out.

Did you install an extension like Fox Splitter (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) ?

And how exactly did you enable this functionality?

Yes! I uninstalled the extension and, hooray! No more splits! Thank you , thank you. :-)
I don't remember how I got the splits.

I too was frustrated with the manner is which the split pane feature worked. I just want to scroll the main pane up or down and the split button popped up and got in the way all the time. I followed the entries here to disable the feature but first selected the options button. In there, I was able to adjust the way the split button appears. Now for the split pane button to appear, I have to hold down the shift key. Not just a scroll over anymore. The split pane feature is OK, I just did not like how it got in the way when all I was wanting to do is scroll the current pane.
