when activating Extras --> settings --> advanced --> allow marking of text the buttons pos1 page up / down are not activated.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Chosen solution

I assume that you mean Caret browsing: Extras > Einstellungen > Erweitert > Allgemein > Eingabehilfen: "Markieren von Text mit der Tastatur zulassen"
