After moving into my new apartment, I have just connected the new internet modem and it all seems to be working smoothly. Except for one site which tells me that it is "Unable to connect to database server" and that "MySQL error is too many connections". This has never happened to me before and this site has never been a problem. (and no it isn't a dirty site.. it is pianofiles.com) All other sites I have tried work fine except for this one. I have googled all the methods of how to increase connections but cannot really follow the steps as to what to do. Can anybody help me?

This is a problem with the website you want to visit. I get the same message using different browsers.

But it seems to be happening on all my browsers :-(

That is because it's caused by the website, not your system

It seems to be working for other users of the website though

strange, i get the following mesage: Unable to connect to database server

If you still have to install Drupal, proceed to the installation page.

If you have already finished installing Drupal, this either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or that we can't connect to the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.

The MySQL error was: Too many connections.

Currently, the username is pianofiles and the database server is localhost.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? For more help, see the Installation and upgrading handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.

Exactly what I get but some other people say it is working for them

I see the same error message.

The Google cache has a file from Aug 11, so at that time it was still working.
