Firefox update removed all my bookmarks, recovered and windows update screwed them all up. Can;t find a solution to my issure..........

After the latest version was updated, Version 149.00.7, on my laptop, on 27 March 2026, the browser closed midway while I was working, and now I can no longer access Firefox.

When I click on the Icon to access I keep getting the following error message as per the attachment:

I have uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it THREE TIMES already', but I still get the same error as before, as per the screen print provided.

I have even tried to install Firefox with custom settings, but then in order to proceed with the installation the ONLY button to proceed was the "UPGRADE" option.

I am at my wits end because this is totally unacceptable and the updated version obviously DOES NOT WORK!!!

Your urgent attention and prompt action in sorting this out will be appreciated, thanks.

If I type a URL incorrectly I https://www.startpage.com/do/dsearch?q=doh&cat=web&language=english displays. How can I eliminate this and just get notification that the address cannot be found?

I updated Firefox and my search in the middle of the screen disappeared. I have tried about:config and switched it to false and the search bar still doesn't appear. How can i fix this problem

Description:

   After updating to version 149.0, videos on hdrezka.tv do not start after clicking the play button.

   Steps to reproduce:

1.       Open any video on hdrezka.tv.
2.      Click the Play button.

   Actual result: > The player stays inactive or shows a loading icon.

   Expected result: > The video should start playing.

   Note: > I have tested this on version 148.2 and it works perfectly. Upgrading to 149.0 or 150.0 Beta breaks it. Reinstalling 148.2 fixes the issue.

I had 6 groups in the sidebar showing when I closed Firefox last night. Today when I opened Firefox there was only one group showing how do I get the other groups re-displayed in the sidebar? I am finding no clues when using the last line in searching help

For over a year, my browser occasionally loses connectivity. It may work for 3 hours or 3 days, but inevitably new tabs will stop working and then slowly the others will stop as well. When this happens, none of my other browsers are impacted. They work fine. It is only Firefox. The only solution is to close everything and lose all my work.

Once I do that and restart Firefox, I receive an error message telling me I am using an older version of Firefox that is not compatible with my profile. The only solution that brings me back to the best starting place is to re-install Firefox.

My company IT spent 3 days trying to find the problem and couldn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. All extensions are turned off, as are the two add-ons. I have been using Firefox for over a decade and prefer it to all other browsers, but I need to find a solution or I am going to have to move on. Help!!!

Is it possible to hide the green "New" label next to new features, such as the current "Add Split View" example? There should be an option for the label to be automatically removed once the feature has been used at least once.

I'm not sure what happened. I restarted my laptop and when I tried jumping onto Firefox it didn't have my normal accounts on it they were gone and I had to make a new one which means all of my bookmarks are gone, none of my accounts are logged in I am freaking out! What happened?!?!

My firefox has been closing while I am away from my computers. I have a few computer running linux (Ubuntu 24.04) and one in mac osx (Big Sur). Usually, I can start firefox and it will remember my tabs which is annoying but still manageable. However, once in a while, (which happened yesterday), all the firefox closed on all the computers and it forgot my tabs when I start firefox again.

I have already set app.update.auto to false on all of the firefox instance prior to this incident to avoid firefox update would close out firefox itself. So if anyone has any idea of what to check to see why firefox keep closing and/or why once in a while it will not remember my tabs, I would really appreciate it.

Hi, I use a website called Slickdeals which has a lot of thumbnail photos showing the product on the homepage.

Firefox seems to have a problem with it where Chrome does not.

Scrolling fast throws it off...the screen turns white and I have to wait for the images to load. Also, the scrolling tends to get choppy while using my touchpad scroll.

I've tried disabling hardware acceleration, disabling smooth scrolling, and clearing cache/history.

Sometimes the cursor lags about a second from the arrow to the hand pointer on links to click.

I have fast FIOS internet and a laptop with 16 GB RAM.

Emails viewed in Firefox with Link to YouTube wants me to log in to YouTube when I click on the link in the email.

I receive a weekly email with a featured bird that when clicked should show me a video of that bird. Before the most recent FireFox update I would get a page that wanted me to log in to YouTube; but, there was no way to do so. Now since the update it works-takes me to the video and runs the video.

 Was not working last week but since an update it does work.  This is an on and off again problem.  I have contacted the people who compose the video with no solution on their part; but, in a few days or weeks when you update your browser it will work!   Then with another update it won't work.  Off again and on again.

Is there a setting to disable product update notifications?

For example, I got a notification on Windows today prompting me to try out Firefox's new split tab view.

I do not want to receive these product update notifications.

I know I can disable notifications in Windows at the OS level, however, this also disables notifications for all websites I have enabled.

Is there an option to disable these?

up until this latest version you could delete your search history with a simple right click. This option no longer exists and there is no easily found way to delete "Search History" where did it go? will it be returned? is Search History no longer delete able?

I have dark mode set as a theme and a dark reader extension enabled. As of yesterday, when I open a PDF it always displayed with white text and a black background. I have vision issues and need my PDF'S to be able to easily read.
