forgot my password will i lose everything if i get anew one

Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I can't even log onto sites with saved passwords anymore. Any help appreciated.

Hi, I recently needed to wipe my drive and reinstall my windows install. Since i was connected to a Firefox account and enabled sync i thought that all my extensions and bookmarks would show up when i logged back in on my newly reset computer. But problem is that i just logged in and nothing is sync, i lost everything! Is there any way to get it back somehow or is everything lost?

I currently use Chrome on Android & Chromebook as my main browser, but I would like to switch to using Firefox now across all my devices (linux, android, chromebook). To do this, I need to import my passwords from Chrome to Firefox, and have them sync between the Firefoxes on all of my devices, but it's not working. I have tried the following:

Method 1: I installed Chrome on my new Linux machine. Checked and made sure it had synced my passwords by logging into a website using Chrome. Then, on Firefox, I pressed alt to enable the toolbar, then File->Import from another browser. The pop-up says "No programs that contain bookmarks, history, or password data could be found."

Method 2: Chrome seems to have a feature to export the passwords to csv. So I exported the passwords from Chrome to a csv on Linux. To be thorough (because I am having trouble getting this to work), I used accounts.firefox.com to sign out the Firefox on my android phone and chromebook, then (on the phone) I deleted my browsing data, uninstalled firefox, and rebooted the phone. Back on Linux, I did about:config, then set signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled to true, then did about:logins then menu->"import from a file", selected the csv that I just exported from Chrome, and clicked Import. Import Complete, 332 logins added, 1 not added because it was missing a password. Logins successfully imported, hooray! For testing purposes, I create a unique new password entry, http://foo.com username "a" password "b". Then I go to about:preferences, make sure that syncing is on and I'm currently syncing logins and passwords, and press "sync now". Log in to my phone, install Firefox from the play store, start it up, sign in using my email and password (it says "syncing"), go to logins and passwords, click "saved logins". The only one listed is for foo.com, the fake one I created to test the syncing, but I expected to see all 333 there.

How do I get this to work?

After updating to Firefox 110 (snap running under Ubuntu Studio 22.04) I get "No synced logins found". The settings still show me logged in to my Firefox account and my synced bookmarks are still there. The saved logins are still there in my Firefox 110 installation running under Windows 10. A similar problem was reported here: Surface Pro 8 recently had No Synced Logins Found while other devices do not have this issue but I am opening a separate thread because the OP gives the impression that this is platform-specific. I am afraid to do anything in the Firefox installation under Ubuntu, for fear of overwriting (i.e. deleting) the saved logins which I can still access on my Windows installation. How should I proceed?

Sync is a nightmare. It is so unintuitive! What exactly would be wrong with having separate Export and Import buttons for each of Settings, Addons, Tabs, History, Bookmarks, etc? I have a desktop box and a newer laptop I wanted to get up to date. I pressed the Sync button on the desktop ... By the way, there`s a link below that reads "Connect another device" ... Connect where? Someone is designing these interfaces who has absolutely zero imagination. Anyways, I signed off, moved the ethernet cable to my laptop, signed in, pressed Sync, and voila!, I got my Bookmarks, at least. But I have no idea how to get my tabs and windows. I tried with a "download link" something or other, but it seemed to assume I was sync-ing to a phone, and didn`t work. Any way to get my tabs?

I am struggling to understand what the problem is, I have a form that has a few drop-down lists and textboxes, but each time I select an option in the drop down list the page refreshes and the textboxes I filled in during the loading disappears, and it only happens in Firefox.

I can prove that I'm using the same e-mail address but with different domain thus making the last statement from [[an article here|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-if-im-locked-out-two-step-authentication]] invalid.

Any idea how I can contact Mozilla to restore access or delete my account to recreate it again? Cannot find an e-mail address to create a ticket :( I don't want to use custom e-mail domain for Firefox account.

When using "send tab to device", the submenu previously showed all synced devices, in my case, more than 10 devices. Recently it only shows 4 devices and there is no way to access the other ones. Is this broken or is it a recent change? If so, can I revert the behavior with a preference?

Under "manage devices", I still see all of my synced devices, they just don't show up in the "send to device" submenu.

Hi, I create an account to sync Bookmarks, Passwords, Add-ons, History etc from one computer to an other. I successfully created the account, verify mails, checkbox all features to sync in settings, and click on "sync' multiple times. But nothing is synced on my new computer. I don't know why but sync button is not appearing in my Firefox settings (image attached). I guess it's because something I've done in settings that has cause this to disappear. Can you help me? Thanks!!

'I Save HTML documents containing Bulleted items (lists) from Firefox. When the saved documents are opened with Firefox, the bulletsb are missing, but when opened with MsEdge they are there. Clearly the Saved File has the Bullet markers embedded (even if not identical to the original), so why can't Firefox show them? The particular files that I Save locally are "LibreOffice Release Notes" '

I am a game developer. I work about 12 hours a day, in Chrome. It is my main browser. When I installed firefox, I was asked to "import" cookies and such. I did. Which has been a terrible headache. All of the bookmarks and everything from Chrome came with it, which I already had in firefox, since I've had it for years. But, I thought since this is a brand new computer that I needed to do that. Fast-forward a couple of weeks and now EVERY time I open up firefox, all 10 million history links are in history.

I use firefox to unwind and watch movies. I don't want 10 million links to work in front of where I left off in binge watching Seinfeld.

I've tried everything and followed instructions and STILL, all history from Chrome shows up in firefox. It is infuriating. AND uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing. The setting is already in the account to import from Chrome to firefox. I've removed addons and extensions as well. Nothing has worked.

I have a question regarding syncing. Is there a way to remotely remove all synced information from Firefox on a particular PC without actually accessing it? For example, if I sync my home PC Firefox with my laptop or my work PC. Then, one day, for some reason I no longer have access to my work PC, and all of my sensitive information is there. Or if I lose my laptop, or if it is stolen... Is it possible to remove all sensitive information from a remote synced PC? Alternatively, is there a way to remove all synced information every time I close the browser? This way I can remove a particular PC in my Firefox account and once the browser is restarted at the remote location, the data will no longer be pulled and synced. Can this be done? I want to transfer my bookmarks from Firefox on my old Windows laptop to a new MacBook. I have followed the instruction and signed into Firefox on both devices and click 'synchronise now' on my Macbook.

Nothing has happened.

I would be grateful if you could tell me whether I am doing things incorrectly and if you could tell me how to have my numerous Firefox bookmarks from Windows appear on the new Macbook.

I recently had to factory reset my computer and had to download and sync my firefox account all over again. It's been a week and firefox is still syncing, none of my bookmarks, add-ons, history or top sites on the new tab are showing up. Thankfully, it appears that most of my passwords have been synced.

I've read some other threads for tips and can confirm that I don't have this account logged in to other devices and I don't have a vpn or proxy running. I am able to obtain the sync logs but I have no idea how to read it.

How can I make the bookmarks, add-ons, history and top sites sync faster?

I wanted to use sync to transfer my tabs from my previous MacBook to my new MacBook. I reset the previous MacBook and now when I login to the new one, sync does not show any of my previous tabs.
