Is there a way to have Firefox warn you if you are attempting to duplicate a bookmark in a folder?

I want to duplicate the functionality of IE in this respect. Don't hate me, but I went to Firefox mainly because it can be configured to operate like pre-IE9 Explorer. Firefox turns out to be better and more stable, but I started out wanting to surf as I want, not as Microsoft thinks I want to. The better browser part is just gravy.

IE saves the favorites as individual files on the hard drive (they take a lot of space that way if they do not fit in the MFT), so you can't have two bookmarks with the same name just as with creating files.
Firefox stores the bookmarks in an SQLite database file and doesn't have that restriction.

If you use the "Bookmark the Page" feature in Firefox, you can't save the same bookmark more than once, even in different folders.

If you use the click-hold drag'n'drop method of saving bookmarks, there is no such limitation. No folder, the same folder, or a different folder - you can save the same bookmark as many times as you wish.
You can drag the favicon from either the Locationbar or a Tab into the Bookmarks Sidebar, the Bookmarks Toolbar, or into the Menu bar Bookmarks drop-down (if you are showing the Menu bar) to save the page as a new Bookmark.
