RoboForm toolbar is essential to me but friends have told me that when they updated previous versions of Firefox, they lost that capability. I don't want to chance it if they are correct.

Mozilla has blocklisted the 7.6.1 and earlier due to being a top crasher. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/i45

It is Roboform the supports Firefox, not Firefox supporting Roboform.
