A previously visited secure website warned me that I was using an unsupported browser but did show support for Firefox 3.6 and Internet Explorer. And the Firefox Home page Google extras such as maps and other are no longer shown. Can I get 3.6 back?
Access to the web site was OK until I upgraded to Firefox 8 which works OK with other sites I visit more regularly.

Thanks. It is a financial institution. I can contact them to check on plans to support version 8. Meanwhile, I can use IE on that site. Sure liked the look and feel of FF V3 better.

Hi I have returned to FF 3.6.24 as my laptop scroll feature works on this version but not on other versions. I also find the look and the way it works is easier for me with v3.6. I have v3.6 saved so i can return to it when i find the new FF want work. Maybe its time to change, Opera?
Firefox 3.6.24 may not be supportrd for all that long, and newer versions may have better features. You could consider using Firefox 8 for day to day browsing, and using firefox portable version firefox 3.6.24 on the problem sites.
Some sites including banks or financial sites may continue to support Firefox 3.6 but not yet recognise Firefox 8.
- What sites are causing you problems ?
- and are those sites accessible to the public without needing to log in ?
- have you asked the sites when they will start supporting the current secure Release version of Firefox, rather than a version approaching End Of Life
P.S.
Use the feedback option in Firefox 8 to comment on the sites you are unable to use
- Firefox Button -> Help -> Submit Feedback

So why not use firefox 3.6 on that site. If you use the firefox portable version you can use the more up-to-date versions longer term, and keep your main sets of bookmarks and settings on that.
There are a few things that may be done to make firefox 8 appear more like firefox 3.6 if you wish. See for instance threads
