How do I update to Firefox 8 since there apparently was a problem when it tried to do it

Update history has the following statement: Installed on: November 9, 2011 9:20:18 pm Status: Update server not found (check your internet connection)

There may have been a problem at that time/date, but no longer. So what do I do now? Can I find the update somewhere and tell it to go ahead and try again? If I download a fresh copy of Firefox and follow installation instructions, will it be able to figure out that it is updating from version 7? All previous updates have been flawless.

It worked, thanks. It came in as a new program, but kept all my preferences and add-ons, even checking to make sure I wanted to keep the ones I had before, like it was supposed to. The only difference is that it is a new browser and the update history for the previous versions has gone away which doesn't really matter all that much.
