Firefox crashed and I lost all my open tabs. I tried about:resore and it did not work. I had numerous tabs open . What to do, very important. Please help. Thanks.
Firefox crashed and I lost all my open tabs(windows). I tried about:restore and it did not bring them up. It only brought up my home page and nothing else. These tabs are important. Please help. Thanks very much.

If Firefox didn't restore that session then your only option is to see if you can find the pages in the history.
Session restore works more reliable if you choose Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time" instead of relying on the Save & Quit dialog.
Thank you very much for your reply but I already tried this and it didn't work. I will try to review all the sites visited over several months of which these tabs were accumulated . What a big hassle. I do notice that Firefox has crashed fairly often . Its just in the past I was able to retrieve my open tabs. I may go back to Internet Explorer. Thanks again for you help.
You can bookmark all open tabs to have them as bookmark (right-click the tab bar) or also make a backup copy of the file sessionstore.js to prevent losing open tabs.
