I just upgraded to Firefox 4 and now on the firefox start page that search doesn't work. Type in an entry and hit enter or even clicking search and nothing happens
The search on the firefox start page doesn't work. Once you type in your entry and hit enter or click on the search button, nothing happens. It doesnt even act like its trying to do anything

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?
A troubleshooting mode.
You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut to open it again.

Did the Restart with Add-ons Disabled and still had the same problem. I'm open to try anything because it is frustrating to not have the search working.
I heard of a few users who had an extension that disabled the search engine on the about:home page. No other ideas about that issue though.
