After installing Firefox 4 my display device driver started crashing frequently and even caused my computer to crash. I uninstalled Firefox 4 and the problem disappeared. What to do?

After installing Firefox 4 my disply device driver continuously reports errors and crashes. Firefox sometimes closes on its own. When I have firefox closed my computer has no problems, but when it is open the system is unstable. A few minutes ago I got the dreaded blue screen saying that a new program or software was causing problems. Firefox 4 is the only new thing added to the computer recently, so I uninstalled it. Now my computer is not reporting any problems while Firefox 3.6 is open. I would like to use Firefox 4 but it doesn't seem to work on my computer. What to do?

I've been getting BSOD's specifically when clicking on items in FF 4.0/4.01. However, I *didn't* have this problem with FF 4.0 on my old computer (now dead). My replacement computer has one of these NVIDIA "Optimus" things going where it can assign applications to either the 'integrated' Intel HD Graphics 3000 (in the i7-2820QM CPU; driver version 8.15.10.2321 ) or the 'discrete' NVIDIA Quadro 2000M (driver version 266.96). As the NVIDIA GPU activity taskbar item shows that Firefox is running on the GPU currently shows that Firefox is running on the Quadro, I'm trying locking it to the Intel (using NVIDIA Control Panel Version 3.5.753.01) and we'll see what happens. All drivers are latest versions available from vendor (Lenovo).
