download does not complete correctly ubuntu iso
I've attempted twice to download a ubuntu iso. I've successfully burned both files to a separate disc and attempted to install ubuntu from the disc and also run ubuntu from the disc. I've got two different sized files and the install/run from CD fails and I suspect that downloading in Mozilla Firefox has issues with big files. I was not notified either time that the download was incomplete. Should I just try this in IE?

If downloaded files get corrupted then the first to check is anti-virus software. Firefox closes the file while downloading after each received block to update file pointers and AV software can see that as a sign that the download has finished and perform a file check instead of waiting until the download has finished and Firefox calls the AV program.

Will this happen even with Windows Firewall? I'm on Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. I have no other firewall.
It is more likely an issue with anti-virus software and not a firewall.
You can check Control Panel > Security
If Windows is blocking it then you wouldn't see a file at all.

What I'm trying to say is I have absolutely no antivirus. I never have and I never will. Why would the download not come in correctly? Maybe it's a problem with ubuntu's download. I'm trying it in IE to see if I have the same problem.
