Drop down menu on address bar question.
Some urls on the address bar's drop down haven't been accessed by me for a year. Others that I access all the time are not there.
This is inconvenient and inefficient.
I saw some info about an insanely complicated way that determines what goes into the dropdown.
How about this -
1) Let the user specify items to go into the dropdown. 2) Let the user determine how many urls go into the dropdown (by having a delete).
If neither of those is possible, then do what Opera does and have everything go in there (several dozen currently on mine).
Or do what IE does, and have the most recent urls typed in go in the drop down.
The way Firefox does it is ridiculous.
You've taken what should be a simple and basic process, and made it absurdly and needlessly complicated as far as what goes in there. And made the dropdown - one of the most useful features of a browser for me - fairly useless.

Take a look at Address bar autocomplete suggestions in Firefox on the features and preferences of the location bar.
