Even though I have Thunderbird configured to leave messages on the server after downloading it still deletes them from the server. Is this a bug in v146? New user.

Thunderbird is my default email program and if I receive an email containing an email link of the form Fred.Bloggs@example.com I can click the link and Thunderbird opens a new message to Fred Bloggs. Today I received an email with the following link: email:customerservices@zen.co.uk. When I clicked it a little dialogue popped up asking me which program I wanted to use to open the link. I browsed to Thunderbird and selected it, but when I clicked OK nothing happened. Why isn't Thunderbird automatically handling all email traffic? What settings do I have to make sure that links of this form will be handled properly in future? Why wouldn't the system be told to use Thunderbird?

People are not receiving my emails. I am receiving other peoples emails. I am using Linux Mint 22 and Thunderbird 140.11.1esr. If I send an email and look in the sent folder, it shows that it has been sent. If I log into my Bell Webmail portal and check the sent folder there, it shows that the email has been sent. But no one gets my emails. If I send an email from my Bell Webmail portal, people receive that email. I have re-installed Thunderbird and allowed Thunderbird to autofil the incoming and outgoing server information after entering my user name and password. No change. I have contacted Bell my internet provider and they have told me that because I can send from the Webmail portal and not from my Desktop, it is a Thunderbird problem. It seems that this problem may have start just after Thunderbird received an update about 2-4 weeks ago. It has been around a month since the last time I had a back and forth email exchange. Searching the forum has been difficult to find an issue similar to mine. Any help would be appreciated. Robert

I have used Thunderbird for years but mid windows 10 I started having this problem I have all my user name & Password in a note pad for all places I go to.I'm on Winddows11 home.Also I can't sign in so I can;t Tell you what Version I have.

Until recently the folder pane could be sized or hidden via the double-headed arrowed cursor. Shortly after the 151.0.1 update this stopped working. All suggested solutions have not worked. A full uninstall (Revo Uninstall) and completely new profile has not fixed the problem. Folder pane only responds to the menu setting and is only Open/close but no sizing.

thunderbird will not delete messages in one of my 2 accounts. when i click delete they just keep re-appearing in my in box. I have deleted the TRASH.msf but issue persists: WHY? I also cannot move messages to another folder, but again, only in one of the two accounts that I have. This just started on 6/17, perhas a bad update? How do I fix this as my in box is filling quickly

thunderbird keeps stating the following: Sending of the message failed. There was an error attaching My 2nd photo spraying P1080183.JPG. Plese check that you have access to the file.

I get this on the 3 pictures I took myself. What is wrong with your system now? Is this an AI problem? Why am I getting questioned on my pictures now??? Very irritating since no one can answer this simple question.

Pictures are of my area / since I can't find any version number for Thunderbird / but it is updated always it is the most current when AI is present

I don't know what to do when February 29 is in my calendar, 2026 is not a leap year. I've found nothing to help me. I have the latest version if Thunderbird. Thanks

When I try to add a new contact the box is 3/4 off the screen to the right. there is a opaque square where the box should be, Ive tried the alt/space/m/arrow thing but that's not working, also tried every suggestion from chatgpt, nothing working, reinstalled with No change Win10

Dzień dobry Mam taki problem, W programie Thunderbird mam skonfigurowane dwa konta obydwa na ....o2.pl Na jednym koncie co jakiś czas w folderze "Odebrane" znikają wszystkie wiadomości i po jakimś czasie pobierają się o nowa wszystkie nagłówki (co oczywiście trochę trwa) ale problem jest w tym że znikają mi zaznaczone etykiety. To bardzo utrudnia mi pracę z tym programem. Na tym drugim komcie nic takiego nie występuje. Sprawdzałem w konfiguracji serwera oba IMAP wszystko tak samo także w synchronizacji i pozostałe ustawienia takie same. Może ktoś pomoże ja w tych tematach jestem mocno w tyle :) Za pomoc z góry dziękuję Marek

I am getting a lot of email dated a month of more in the future. How do I best filter these out as junk? I tried making a regular filter, but can't find a way to set it to "greater than today."

I've been trying to find a way of synchronising Thunderbird data, principally addressbooks, messages and calendar data, between several PCs. I've tried to do this with a file synchronisation program called Allway Sync but it's become clear it's not just a case of copying changed data between the profiles of the different systems.

It seems the only way to do it is by exporting the profile data to a zip file then importing it to the other systems. That would be a rather clunky solution but I could live with it. However the size of the profile folder on my main workstation is now around 5GB so that doesn't appear to be possible.

I should be extremely grateful for any suggestions on how to accomplish the synchronisation if it is at all possible.

My main workstation is running Windows 7 Professional SP1. The others are running Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional

I changed my password in my email provider. TB kept saying that it was the wrong password. After a few unsuccessful tries I rebooted tb. It worked. Then, whenever I opened tb it asked for password. I then tried checking 'password manager' and it remembered the password. Fine. Could have been easier. 1. Notice that tb requires reboot to accept password change. 2. Explanation that password manager is "remember password so you don't need to enter every time".

A little more nitpicking: For as long as I have used tb I cannot print a selection of an email. It wants to print the whole thing, along with headers. I have to select, copy, paste to notepad, then print. Could be easier.

To Whom it concerns, It has been about 4-5 days since I can't receive my e-mail. I have e-mail you different times with errors coming up. When I open my mail since yesterday an error now says error with acct. cray9@oh.rr.com. Another error occurred with the POP3mail server. The mailbox closes. Then a box comes up Thunder Bird crash reporter then I can put why and then restart my e-mail. It does try to load my e-mail then stops. And now my password box doesn't come up to put my password in. Last it says connection to mail.twc.com was reset then once again the mailbox closes. Please help, I have been a customer with Thunder Bird for years. Thank you!!

I create a new address book in Thunderbird. I add several email addresses to that book. I close Thunderbird at the end of the day. When I open Thunderbird the next day, the new address book has disappeared. Any idea what I am doing wrong, missing?
