I have numerous Co's and people trying to sell me stuff that I do not want. They continue to send these emails even after I have unsubscribed numerous times. I was able to block some awhile back, but have forgotten how to do it or that feature is no longer available. Help appreciated for sure. Thank you.

The last update was and is terrible, what happened to all my groups in my address book, what a waste of my time. I have set up separate email lists for my clients and now I have lost it all. You invest time and effort into a product then through stupid updates that wipe out all that work makes the effort to support you a waste of time and money. Now I have to spend hours doing rework because of your ignorance and lack of care for your supporters, typical of tech, we broke it and we don't care.

Thunderbird. I have been using it successfully for 14 years. Now I can no longer send email. I have 6 email accounts (gmail, outlook, yahoo, att, etc.) and all receive email. Outgoing mail and saving a draft time out and fail. The yahoo account asks for my password, but does not accept it. (It is correct because I can access that account without using the thunderbird client. What is a secure mail key? I seem to have one at least for one of my accounts, but I don't know what do to with it.

In my situation I have a work account that uses gmail as the mail server. every time I open TB I get this message popping up.

I have disabled all fetching of email and notifications of incoming mail and deleted related passwords.

Is there any way to fully disable an account without deleting it?

I am getting stopped, dead cold, every time I try to install Thunderbird mail on Linux Mint 22. I've attached a generic article that explains how Akamai's site security services bots are working to protect a site or sites that TB must access to complete it's installation task. In my case it's Comcast/Xfinity. Accordingly, TB installations will not complete and new users are locked out...some for months. The concensus of the devs that have been working on this critical issue is that there is nothing on a new TB user's side that in any way causes or contributes to the issue. I would very much appreciate any information you can provide about a speedy resolution in the works.

Note: The error notification screen "Access Denied" is the same message I get, but with Xfinity referenced.

Each time, while the settings all say junk screening is turned off, each account has junk mail moved to the junk folder after IMAP sync. I run my own mail server. It is not doing this, Thunderbird is. Does anyone have any idea how to get the program to follow what I actually want? Why have the settings if they don't actually do anything? Getting very frustrated here.

This stopped working late last year and never managed to find what the problem is...

but on reflection, this doesn't work for me (caldav) plus trying to use "Provider for Caldav" I am being told that it is not compatible with my version of Thunderbird (102.11.0 64-bit)

Thunderbird for Windows stuck on startup. The status bar shows "Looking up imap.google.com...". The title bar shows "Home - Mozilla Thunderbird (Not responding)". When I close Thunderbird, it gives me a "Not responding" dialog and then says that it is reporting the problem to Microsoft.

This problem has been happening for the last few weeks but this is the first opportunity I've had to tackle the problem. I've done a few searches but nothing pops up for this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 Pro. Latest version of Thunderbird for Windows as of a few weeks ago. The problem was happening before I upgraded the software to the latest version.

Using the config editor, I set mailnews.default_view_flags to "0" (unthreaded). (See 1st screenshot.) after doing so, I quit TB and restarted it. However, when I created a new folder, it is still set to threaded.

(Still proud of myself for figuring out how to use the config editor, which I never did before! :-)

Anyone have a tip for how to effect this change for new folders? Thanks for your help.

Hello - Some years ago I had old Emails recovered by the support team which were indeed fully deleted in all folders of T'bird. They directed me to the online version to achieve the recovery and it worked well. I am need again and cannot locate those instructions. To be clear, the procedure was from the support team guiding the way. Anyone have possession of these instructions or algorithm, or a better method that still works? Many thanks :)

A number of times during the day, when I'm on my email account a window interrupts me to verify my account ( photo attached) After I follow all prompts repeatedly over many times a strange series of slashes cross the top of my window and it asks me if I want to go back to my previous last email. I can not proceed with my activity. So I close the computer and wait a couple of hours and try to start up, BUT my password box is filled with dots. I am unable to continue. So I wait longer. When I do get access it all starts over again. Is this you or google doing this? I have been with Thunderbird for years, and I hate the idea of having to go through Google to use you. Yesterday it locked me out of my computer in total. Need help!
