why is my company uninstalling firefox because it is not secure

I have been using Firefox for 20 years. My company Ameriprise Financial has uninstalled it and when I try to reinstall, they immediately uninstall it. They tell me there are security vulnerabilities with Firefox. WTH Firefox?

They want me to us Google Chrome now instead.

Google Chrome and the Chromium based browsers have security vulnerabilities just the same as any such vulnerabilities are fixed in recent updates.

Unlike with Google and Chromium browsers, Mozilla is more open with listing vulnerabilities which does Not mean the desktop Firefox web browser is more vulnerable. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/
