How do I even submit a support ticket for firefox?

This ("Ask a Question") is the usual starting point.

If you have discovered a security-related bug in Firefox, you can directly file a confidential bug report on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

Otherwise, we can help you triage the issue and if we don't know the solution, we can try to escalate it.

Well that's frustrating

I don't know, when was the last time you tried to use a tech company's official support channels? That's frustrating.

How are tech companies different?

I don't understand your question. Tech companies have a lot of different approaches to keeping their support costs manageable. Community support is a common one. Call centers staffed by textbots is another.

Is there some question you want to resolve related to Firefox?

Because you specified when was the last time I used the support channels of a tech company.

And yes I do have. On Discord's web app, how do I make Firefox share my audio when share my screen too? I can do that with Chrome and after contacting Discord through their support ticket system, they told me to ask help from Firefox about it.

From what I can see in the bug tracking system, sites using screen sharing are not given access to system audio. Adding that is assigned a P3 (normal priority) [1541425], so it's back in line behind higher priority work. Chrome is ahead of Firefox on this one.

So it's not a feature, it's a bug? And it's low priority? And it's been around for more than 3 years? So it will literally never get fixed. Great.

Sorry, I don't create the news, I just report it.

Many old bugs do get fixed, but I don't know what would raise the priority on this one.

Don't worry I'm not mad at you. I'm actually thankful for letting me know because I would have never know otherwise. And I assume the only way its priority would be raised is by a series of very specific Cosmic Rays. Or if Discord's "people" talk with Firefox's "people" and to get it fixed.

No web browser really has call center one on one support except perhaps where there is paid for support (for Enterprise users).

Applications that have support by say direct chat or phone or such are because you paid for the support by paying for the app.

The screen sharing feature is used by various sites; Discord is a popular one but I don't know how commonly users want to share their screen WITH audio. If it is the same plumbing needed for Google Meet and Microsoft Teams and Zoom, then maybe Enterprise users will agitate for audio support. Another possibility is that an intern or other specific developer will take an interest and do the work. Otherwise, it probably will languish because there is louder screaming about other needs.
