If Thunderbird is installed on several computers in a network and one of them gets mail with POP and puts it in "Local folders", can the others access the mail folders at the same time without conflict?

Thunderbird is not a network product that manages sharing of access. If each computer has Thunderbird installed, sharing of access would be dependent on any services provided by the network.
