Good day Firefox When the Wordle puzzle was accessed via the powerlanguage.co.uk website, my Firefox browser gave me easy access via bookmark but, in recent days, the ownership and location of the puzzle has passed to the New York Times and my bookmark activation takes me to the NYT games/wordle page but the page is blank. I have now found that I can access the page and complete the puzzle using Microsoft Edge but I have no desire to use Edge. I have read a statement in the NYT that the puzzle will continue with free access so payment is not an obstacle. Is there likely a setting in Firefox which is preventing me access to the puzzle and, if so, are you able to suggest where I can access the setting. Thank you, John Price

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I came across the link elsewhere and the page seems to load on my browser.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems. Go to that post and click the 'Solved' button to its right.

By the way, what link is working for you?

Hi John, do you use any add-ons that affect the ability of the NYTimes site to set cookies or use local storage? Another use mentioned that an add-on to bypass paywalls prevented the new Wordle site from remembering anything, but they were able to play the game.

I have this problem as well. I have tried restarting in troubleshoot mode and the problem is still there. It is displaying the background but no text or images. I have looked Enhanced Tracking Protection and that doesn't find any problem that it might block. OK I just cleared cookies for the NY times website and this solved the problem.

To the people affected: Could you help the developers investigating the issue by sharing how much 'LocalStorage' the site occupies? This can be measure with the following steps: 0. Open the Wordle page. 1. Press Ctrl+Shift+K to open the browser's Web Console. 2. Copy the following code snippet: lsUsage = 0 ; for (let iKey = 0; iKey < localStorage.length; iKey++) { const key = localStorage.key(iKey); lsUsage += key.length + localStorage[key].length; } ; console.log("LS Usage", lsUsage); 3. Try to paste it. If you haven't pasted in the console before, it should block this and tell you to type 'Allow pasting. 4. Type 'Allow pasting'. 5. Paste the code snippet again. 6. Run it by pressing the Enter key. 7. The console should have a line which reads "LS Usage <number>" where "<number>" is a number. Please copy it. 8. Share the "LS Usage" text here.

Thank you in advance.
