The current Firefox is Messing with my website menus and products (WordPress,WooCommerce)

more options

After going nuts trying to figure out why my website no longer works properly on Firefox, it was determined by my WebHost, HostGator, that there is an issue with only Firefox. The website works with Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc., just not Firefox.

I wasted many hours trying to adjust WordPress, WooCommerce, etc.

What's wrong:

1 The menus no longer pull down, and cannot be accessed. 2 Products no longer show the long description, and there is now a description tab and an additional information tab, which do not do anything when pressed, and cannot be programmed (the tab or a new page).

I would hate to loose the ability to run my website using Firefox, and it affects my customers as well.

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

Thanks so much, Scott

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Didn't help... Even in safe mode the problem persists.

HostGator had me clear the cache and cookies while they were trying to diagnose the issue.

Thanks for your help. Others have experienced this as well on their computers.

See if you get the issue...

What I get for the main menu bar are boxes flying up from the bottom of the page while the labels do sort of an odometer flip. The Home menu is horizontal, and the others are vertical. Is that the effect that is not working for you?

Do you mean the text below the purple button? I see all that content, but it doesn't seem to be converting to a tabbed interface. Maybe you can point to a specific product page where you see these problems.

Both of these aspects look the same to me in Firefox and in the "new" MS Edge (based on the same rendering engine as Chrome).

One method to suss out a settings/add-on issue is:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test your problem site(s).

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your current default profile.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like June2021, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

Firefox will switch your default profile to the new one, so click the Set as Default Profile button for your regular one to avoid an unwanted surprise at your next startup.

Scroll down to June2021 and click its Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system to get a clean test.

Do the problem features work any better in the new profile?

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (June2021 will remain available for future testing.)
